# Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) **Location:** Remote, India **Type:** Full-time ## About the Role We are looking for a highly capable and entrepreneurial **Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)** to work at the intersection of technology, customers, and product. Unlike a traditional software engineering role, an FDE works directly with customers to understand complex problems, rapidly build and deploy solutions, and translate real-world requirements into scalable product capabilities. You will move comfortably between customer conversations, system architecture, coding, integrations, and product thinking. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ambiguity, loves solving real problems, and wants to see their work directly impact customers. ## What You'll Do - Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, challenges, and business requirements. - Design, build, and deploy customized technical solutions for real-world use cases. - Rapidly prototype solutions using modern software, AI, and automation technologies. - Integrate our products with customer systems, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms. - Translate customer problems into scalable product and engineering opportunities. - Work closely with product and engineering teams to bring real-world insights into the product roadmap. - Debug complex technical issues across different customer environments. - Own projects end-to-end—from discovery and solution design to deployment and iteration. - Create reusable frameworks, integrations, and implementation playbooks as we scale. - Participate in customer discussions as a trusted technical partner. ## What We're Looking For ### Technical Skills - Strong programming experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages. - Experience building and deploying production-grade applications. - Comfortable working with APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations. - Familiarity with backend systems, system architecture, and data workflows. - Experience with AI/LLMs, agentic workflows, or automation technologies is a strong plus. - Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and work across different technical environments. ### Mindset - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguity. - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong customer empathy and curiosity to understand how businesses actually operate. - High ownership and a bias toward action. - Ability to balance custom customer requirements with scalable product thinking. - Comfortable moving fast, experimenting, and finding pragmatic solutions. ## Who Will Thrive in This Role? A great Forward Deployed Engineer is part **Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Product Thinker, and Problem Solver**. You should be equally comfortable asking a customer, *“What problem are you actually trying to solve?”* and then opening your laptop and building the solution. We are not looking for someone who simply receives requirements and writes code. We are looking for someone who can independently discover problems, propose solutions, build them, deploy them, and learn from the outcome. ## Experience We are open to candidates from diverse backgrounds including software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, startups, and AI engineering. **2–6 years of experience is preferred, but demonstrated ability matters more than years on a resume.** ## Why Join Us?
